WAT-AHH Review and Giveaway~CLOSED~

WAT_AAH!_logo (2)

When it’s hot outside, I grab a bottle of cold water. Most of the time, the sit in the freezer since the bottom part of the fridge is too full. My family and I drink TONS of water. Every now and then we’ll grab some tea, but that’s rarely. Plus, there’s nothing like a bottle of cold water to lower your body temperature. I can go through about 5 bottles a day. It all depends on how thirsty I am.Plus, when you are doing errands, or your kids are outside playing, they need some water to stay hydrated (dehydration really stinks!). If you’re like me, you don’t really like the tap water, but if it’s the only thing to drink at the time, you don’t mind.

Wat-AhhSay “hello” (to my little friend), WAT-AHH! They are making drinking water healthier and much more fun. I was recently given the chance to review their water, and I am so thankful for that! When they arrived, they had been sitting in the sun for a bit, so of course, it was way too hot to drink at the moment. So into the freezer they went! I figured that they would get colder faster. Well, it’s true! It took no time for them to become tasty and drinkable. I’m pretty sure they were drinkable when I first opened the package, but hot water would have made me sick!

So, what exactly is WAT-AHH!? It’s water that isn’t boring! It does not contain any sugar or ingredients you have no idea how to say! They have 4 different “flavors.” They aren’t really flavors, but you’ll get the idea in a minute.

Drink WAT-AHH “flavors”
Brain- Purified water and kid-friendly electrolytes
Bones- Purified water and bone-bu
ilding magnesium
Body- Pure spring water (that’s it!)
Energy- Ultra purified water and energizing oxygen

They are absolutely delicious! After they had finally become unfrozen, I decided to try the “Bones” first. Well, I had gotten so used to my tap water that it tasted weird at first. Then, after the first few sips, I was beginning to fall in love! My sister claimed it had an aftertaste, but I didn’t taste one. Then, through-out the evening, my sister and I tried the others. They were just as good as the first one!

WAT-AHH! can replace that Gatorade! It’s much more healthy and doesn’t include any sugar! Hooray for water! Oh, I’m sorry. It should be “Hooray for WAT-AHH!” There, I feel much better.

Thanks to the people at WAT-AHH!, you now have the ability to win! I will be giving 1 winner (that’s right, one winner) WAT-AAH! chicBuds Review

For those that have MP3 players or music players, you know how hard it is to find headphones that work wiwth you rather than against you. I’ve had to go through 2 different headphones for my iPod. I finally settled ChicBuds-V3_01on a big set of headphones that stayed on my ears and I wasn’t constantly fidgeting with them. Well, occasionally they would slip off, but that’s if I banged my head really hard to the music that was playing. If you don’t know me by now, I have a love for metal and rock music. Thanks to my dad who ultimately raised me on Queen and KISS when I was young. I’m guessing that’s where that love came from. So, finding headphones were a problem for me. Needing something to stay on these ears are mine are a little hard to come by.

Thanks to chicBuds, I was given the opportunity to review their RockBuds. They say that it’s for men, but it seemed to fit my personality just perfectly! The name of the RockBuds I am reviewing is called Rock Star. See? Fits perfectly! Not only do they have RockBuds, they have many different other headphone kinds. Most them are detailed with genuine Swarovski crystals. They are quite pretty! So, you don’t have to choose just one color, you have multitude of colors to choose from. To name a few, for the black chicBuds, you can choose Watermelon, Marshmallow, Green Apple, etc.  For the white ones, you have the same colors, but with a white look. If I had the money, I would buy every color they had- just in case I happened to lose one- you know how these things happen!chicbuds_black

So what are chicBuds? They are headphones for your musical entertainment. They are retractable and have a belt clip included. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love these! I’m using them as I write this and I haven’t needed to adjust them at all! They have a great sound and they are much better than the headphones the iPod originally came with. Every day I need music, and these are great. Whether you are jogging or just doing housework, these won’t fall or slip. As I mentioned before, the big headphones would slip when I would head bang- these doesn’t! I am so happy to have found a pair of headphones that work better than any I have tried before!

chicBuds are perfect for any age and any occasion. While they are quite expensive $50, these will last you quite a long time and you will not want to put them away. These would also make perfect gifts! They are not only great to look at, they work perfectly and I wish everyone could have their own pair! You don’t be disappointed!!

Fancy Fortune Cookie Review

If you’ve ever been to a Chinese restaurant, you know that at the end of your dinner, they give you a fortune cookie. Well, say bye-bye to those cookies and hello to Fancy Fortune Cookies. They are bringing a more yummy way to eat fortune cookies!

Thanks to Fancy Fortune, I was given the opportunity to review their delectable fortune cookies. One word to describe the exceptional cookies? “Yummy!” Because I can’t eat every one by myself, I’ve shared most of them with my family. they love it as much as I do!

Story time! A week ago, my sister, mom and myself had errands to run one morning. By lunch time, we were starving. So, we decided to go tour favorite Chinese buffet restaurant. Food was good. So after eating my dessert (I always like to end my Chinese lunch with vanilla ice cream), our waitress brought our bill and fortune cookies. Instead of eating the cookie, I went straight to he fortune. I knew that at home, the fortune cookies were 10 times better than the ones at the restaurant.
001These cookies are absolutely delicious! They have many different flavors:

  • Vanilla
  • Bubblegum
  • Cherry Bliss
  • Horseshoe Blue
  • Luscious Lemon
  • “Oh, Wow!” Orange
  • Passion Fruit Punch
  • Very Berry Raspberry
  • Sun-Ripened Strawberry
  • Cool Cappuccino
  • Double Chocolate
  • Minty Mint

Whew! Quite a bit to choose from!!

These fortune cookies are perfect for any occasion. I personally love them as a snack. They’re easy to grab and go!

Also, Fancy Fortune Cookies has giant fortune cookies. So if you don’t want regular size cookies, go for the giant fortune cookies!

These have become a family favorite!

Guiltless Gourmet Review

A few days ago, I received a package in the mail. As as soon as I opened it, I saw a bag of Chile Verde BAKED tortilla chips via Guiltless Gourmet. Of course, I dove right in! I hadn’t eaten anything yet, and those chips were looking very delicious! So, I opened the bag (had a tiny bit of trouble with that….) and ate one… or a few chips. I must say, the flavor exploded immensely. You could really taste all of the ingredients.

The good thing about Guiltless Gourmet? Their tortilla chips are baked- no fried. So not only is it good, it’s good for you. Also,

  • They are all natural. There’s no preservaties or artificial ingredients.
  • There’s only 120 calories and 3 gram of fat or less per serving.

So, you see how healthy they are! I think I’ve become addiced! They also use organic corn as an ingredient.

Guiltless Gourmet has many great flavors! Those include Blue Corn, Chili Lime, Yellow Corn Salted and Unsalted, Spicy Black Bean, Much Nacho Chipotle and Chile Verde. Along with the baked tortilla chips, Guiltless Gourmet has many other products from dips to dessert to sandwich wraps. All of them natural and all of them have 0 Trans Fat. Now that’s a win-win situation in my book!!

Back to how it tasted. After chowing down on the Chile Verde chips, it start getting hot. I suspect that’s the jalapeno pepper powder to blame. However, they chips didn’t taste greasy or too salty. You can taste the Chile Verde seasoning- which is a perfect blend, in my opinion.

If you are a chip lover and snacker, where can you find your own bag? Well, you can either log onto www.guiltlessgourmet.com and visit their store locator, or visit retailers nationwide such as Shoprite, Kroger, Publix, etc Visit the snack section for Guiltless Gourmet.

Christmas In July- Crewel Yule Book Review

Crewel Yule: by Monica Ferris.

Book synopsis taken from Amazon.com:

Murder is in the air everywhere–even at a needlework show. Betsy Devonshire, owner of the shop Crewel World, finds herself snowed in at the convention hotel in Nashville along with her policewoman friend, Jill, and employee, Godwin. When another shop owner, Belle Hammermill, falls over the railing, plummeting down nine stories into the middle of the atrium, even the most avid sewers look up from their tatting. Everyone, of course, assumes the fall to be an accident. However, as Betsy, Jill, and Godwin start talking to the show’s attendees, they begin to learn that a selfish and devious Belle had plenty of enemies–and they are all in the hotel. Ferris’ characterizations are top-notch, and the action moves along at a crisp pace. The ending, unfortunately, is something of a letdown, with hardly a twist, much less a turn. Still, with so many crafters out there, this has a built-in audience of those who like to mix their needlepoint with question marks.

At first, when I opened, the book I had a hard time getting into it because one, I’m not a needlecrafter and I knew they would use words for stitches that I had no idea existed; second, I had just finished reading My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult and a murder mystery seemed odd. However, reading past page 11, I started truly getting into it- even if it meant not knowing what a hardanger stitch was. I still don’t know! The characters in the book seem almost real. You have Cherry Pye, who is in a wheelchair. You have Eve Suttle who turned into an attractive lady thanks to Belle Hammermill. Last, you have Lenore who was just trying to sell her beloved Christmas sampler.

When Belle falls from the railings on the ninth row, Betsy Devonshire and Sergeant Jill Cross Larson try to come up with a reason why she fell and died. Was it an accident? Suicide? Murder? That’s what they try and figure out. I really enjoyed seeing how they interact with each interview when they ask Cherry, Lenore, and Eve about Belle and if anyone was possibly around her at the time of her fall. Each character is really different in how they react with the questions. It can be quite comical.

Ferris’ writing really brings out the sleuth in you. As Jill and Betsy conduct their investigation, you keep trying to remember if there’s anything previously in the story that could tip you off. Was there someone standing near her? Did she jump? Or did she just slip? There are so many turns in this book that I did not want to put it down at all- but did just so I could actually get some sleep.

All in all, I love this book and will be reading more of her stories again!!!

So, if you are into murder mysteries and needlecraft, then this book is for you!

My Sister’s Keeper Book Review(May Contain Spoilers)

1439157383_lDISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. I’ll put (***) before the sentence to warn you of a spoiler if, in fact I do insert one.

Thanks to my fantastic Mom, who bought this book only 2 days ago, I had the chance to read it. It’s written by Jody Picoult. When I picked it up for the first time, I originally thought that it would just be a book about sisters, and that’s all. Well, for the most part, it is. Here’s the synopsis of the book:

Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate — a life and a role that she has never challenged…until now. Like most teenagers, Anna is beginning to question who she truly is. But unlike most teenagers, she has always been defined in terms of her sister — and so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable, a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves.

I had such a hard time putting this book down- although I finished it in 2 nights. I tend to read more at night because that’s when most people are asleep and I have more time to concentrate on it.

Picoult’s writing style is unique. In the book, the chapters aren’t number 1, 2, 20, 45, etc. Instead, you get a chance to read every character’s point of view. You not only get to hear from Anna, you also get to hear from the parents and other characters in the story. It was a really different way of reading. Like I said, I couldn’t put the book down.

I will warn you, you might need to read the book with a box of tissue next to you. ***There are some sad parts that just make you feel like you’re on a roller coaster of emotion. You feel helpless when Kate’s “boyfriend” dies. You want to hug the parents.***

So how much do I love this book? Immensely. While Twilight was numero uno (number 1 for the English speakers) on my favorites list, that has been bumped down to Number Two. My Sister’s Keeper now sits in the first slot. So, I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good sob story, a story of inspiration and desperation.

My Sister’s Keeper is a book that I’m sure you guys will love!

EZ Comb Review

EZCombs_sYou’ve seen the commercial, haven’t you? I know I have! Ever since I saw the commercial the first time, I’ve instantly wanted one. By the way, I am talking about the EZ Comb. I absolutely love this thing!

About a week or ago ago, my sister and I each got one of our own. Well, we got a package of 2- but we picked out which colors we wanted. She got the white one and I grabbed the brown.

So what is an EZ Comb From the definition on their website

EZ Combs™ is the new hair accessory that stretches to easily create popular hairstyles instantly!

Seems cool, huh? Well, they are. So far, every day I wear mine. I even where it to bed- even though I wake up with it on the pillow rather than in my hair. However, I love the ease of being able to pull my hair back and quickly get on with my day.

What I normally do when I put my hair back with it is called “The Fountain.” If you take a look at their website: http://www.ezcombs.com/, you will see what I am talking about. Plus, it’s the only thing my hair will do. It seems to have a mind of it own.

I absolutely love my EZ Comb. I kept losing ponytail holders because they would either slip out of my hair or I would take it out, set it down, and it would disappear. And with this, it doesn’t slip because of the prongs that hold the hair. With this EZ Comb, you can do many different styles. I’m still working on that. My fingers are quite clumsy!

Also, it’s very lightweight. It doesn’t weigh down your head of feel heavy at all.

So yes, I love my EZ Comb (think I’ve said it enough?). My hair is happier. Or, maybe it’s just me.
