A few weeks ago, I had won a room spray (courtesy of The Giving Essence- http://www.thegivingessence.com) from the Katydid and Kid blog (http://katydidandkid.blogspot.com/) and I received the room spray today. It couldn’t have come at the perfect time! I’m still battling this darn flu! So what exactly happened?
Well, I get the box. I know what it is, but kind of forgot what kind it was. Well, if you go to the Giving Essence website and click on essential sprays, find “Breathe Deep.” The one with the Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Lavender, and Peppermint ingredients. That is the one I had gotten. If you’ve read the description, you know why I am ultra-excited about using this spray!
So far, I have sprayed it and it does help with the stuffy nose! I can somewhat breathe through both nostrils now (somewhat being the keyword here…) I didn’t know with just a few sprays I didn’t have to use my tissue every 5 minutes just to keep my nose clear. It hasn’t completely taken away the stuffy nose, but it does help!
They don’t just have sprays there at The Giving Essence. They also have dried herbs, oils, lip balms, essential sticks (still herbal!) and they are exceptionally cheap! A 1 ounce bottle of the sprays is only $10. You could try and find the same thing, but you won’t get a better price or a better mix of herbs. I plan on buying more when I can! So go ahead and visit The Giving Essence and find which one suits you and get it! You won’t be sorry!
By the way, from what I gather from what I can smell (even if it’s so little right now), it smells wonderful!!

Thanks to my sister, my blog looks more like a blog than a business! Since she is the queen of graphic design, I asked for her to make me a header. Isn’t it adorable? It is much better than I have tried coming up with! And to be honest, it’s been so long since I have used Paint Shop Pro that I have forgotten all of the little tricks I used to know. So, thank you twin sister!!!!
By the way, I am reading a new book- which I am almost finished with. I started it around 9 o’clock last night and I am down to the last few chapters already. Can anyone guess who the author is? Any guesses? No? Then, I will tell you. It’s a Charlie Huston book. If you don’t know, I am a huge fan of Charlie Huston. His books are just absolutely wonderful! The book is called Already Dead. It is the first book in the Joe Pitt series. Sadly, I don’t own the book. My sister (you’re mentioned again, girl!) checked it out from the library, so I have to return it. However, I do plan on buying the rest of the series when I have the chance.
For the past few days, I’ve been battling with the flu. Monday evening I started getting a scratchy throat. I thought it was the cold. Tuesday morning I woke up with the full-blown flu: stuffy nose, achy body, spacey, freezing, really really sore throat, and that over-all “yucky” feeling. Today is Friday and I am not just finished with the last of it. My throat is still kind of sore and I still have the stuffy nose. However, I feel fine! I’d like to thank my Mom for taking care of me! I am sure going to miss that when I go to college… I’ll just come back when I get sick!

Okay, I’m done with puns for the day. Anyways, I had just come across an amazing artist. I don’t know who it is, but this person has a great attention to details. He/She carves eggs. Yes, the real eggs. Not the cheap, plastic, neon-colored kind you buy for Easter! I must say, if the Easter bunny were to bring me these, they would become an heirloom for sure! So, enjoy the pictures and if you know who the artist is, let me know! I want to let them know how awesome they are!

It’s a hummingbird! Yay for hummingbirds!

I’m sure all Moms would love to get this beautiful egg!

Look at the beautiful flower! I wish I had that kind of eye for detail!!!

You’re probably wondering why I haven’t posted in a few days. Well, the fact of the matter is, I don’t know what to post about! Usually I would post something funny or constructive, but nothing comes to my mind! I envy my sister who can literally post about anything… even if it’s small. Me? I like to write… alot, so when it comes to the posting, I really like to go into details. I’m kind of hoping something exciting/scary/weird/creepy happens so I can actually post.
Other than that, I’ve been studying like a madman as of lately. When I’m done on the computer, I will study for hours on end. I just hope I don’t forget what I’ve already studied. EEK!!

You know, you never know where you’ll meet someone or the circumstances. However, I bet meeting someone at a library doesn’t seem… exciting- unless the initial conversation revolves around literature or the new Twilight book. Now, I have no problem striking up a conversation with a single guy. The problem is, if a guy has no dating skills, respect for women, or is pushy, that can be a huge huge turn-off for me. Do you really want to know the point I am trying to make? Be prepared to feel creeped out. I know I was!
A few days ago, my sister and I were at the library one morning. A few minutes later, this random guy started talking to my sister. I just thought he was friendly. Well, he then asked her how old I was and if I was seeing anyone. This seems harmless, I know. This guy then asked for my number. Something in me felt uncomfortable about giving it to him- so I didn’t. When she and I got up from our chairs, he wanted to talk to me. He’s 42. I’m 24. Age usually doesn’t matter. However, I felt completely uncomfortable with him. He asked me if I liked to french kiss (sometimes) and also if I like Italian food (as long as it’s not Olive Garden). He walked me and my sister to our car. He wanted to hold my hand. I hadn’t even known him for 5 minutes. As we got into the car, he put his hand on my thigh. I felt uneasy. He then tried to lean in for a kiss… a french kiss at that! He got air as I pulled back. He then tried again and got my cheek. I felt SO uncomfortable that when he left, I wanted to throw up. Thinking about it still upsets my stomach!!
When we left the library parking lot, I told my sister that if she hadn’t been there, he probably would have pushed himself on me even further.
Why do the psychos find me? This is another reason I hate being single. I now can’t trust many guys. Thank you Mr. Single-Psycho-Foot-Fetish loser.

Have you noticed that when someone is planning to attend college, they usually don’t study for the entrance exam for a year? Well, this one is! Why a year? I don’t like cramming- unless its chocolate- and that goes in my mouth! If I cram, I get more confused than if you spun me around 5 times and asked me to find a corner. Also, I would forget everything I had learned and would fail. That would be a HUGE disappointment!!
Usually, while I’m studying (a few hours every day- especially math), I usually have the T.V on. That’s probably a really bad idea. If a George Clooney (sexy!) movie comes on, I forget about the fractions in front of me. Music wouldn’t do me any good- simply because singing (even if it does sound like a cat in heat) while writing can get confusing. I would most likely start writing what I was singing ….it’s a cruel (cruel) summer…
Here goes to 8 more months of late nights and finger cramps!
My sister has decided also to attend college so she’s studying with me She has 2 prospect colleges. One of them would even be an hour from me at UT-Austin. She’s thinking of going to Sam Houston. Cool, huh? Sleepovers would be happening every other weekend. Woohoo! Party time!
Although we would be an hour away from each other (saves on gas), we’d still be close enough to reach each other in case of an emergency. You can’t keep twins far apart! We’re joined at the hip!

With the sound of music. Now, who here has seen the movie “The Sound of Music”? Most of us, right? Now, think about to near the middle of the movie. I’m guessing it’s the middle. Okay, now that you’re thinking about the huge middle-section of the movie, I have a dream I must tell you. It’s rather hilarious, and in fact, this is the reason why I bring up “The Sound Of Music.” First, let me set the scene of falling asleep and THEN I’ll go into the dream.
The other night, I was trying to sleep from a busy day. I spent the whole day cleaning…. even though I’ve had days before that I didn’t want to. It happened. I also had set a king-sized mattress and box spring on one of my toes. It hurt for a second. So, it’s around 10pm, and I was getting sleepy, so I decided to go to sleep (what else am I going to do? Play charades?)
As the night goes on, I enter REM state of sleep. This is where most dreams happen, I presume. And then I start to dream. For those of who do not know, I love metal music. I love Kamelot. They are a progressive metal band (google it!) Refer back to my Mozart VS Kamelot post (http://http://confettidreams.wordpress.com/2009/01/22/mozart-versus-kamelot/). Anyways, my sister and I had gone to see them in concert. Well, the first song they played, and they had the puppets go to with it, was the song”The Lonely Goatherd”. Yes, the one with the yodeling. I woke up laughing so hard I thought I was going to throw up! It was the most funniest dream I have ever had. Now, I have a memory of it written down for all to see. Sorry dudes of Kamelot. I can’t see ya’ll yodeling!

Being single really sucks at time. It does. You see all of these couple holding hands and kissing- which makes you yearn for that even more. So now that I’ve been kind of going on my own without a man for the past year and 2 months (Sadly, I’ve counted), I’m on the prowl once again! Although my college studying may interfere with that just a bit, I am not worried. The only thing I worry about (being single) is whether or not to put my hair up. I have decided that I am not going to change my personality just to meet someone. They will have to love me for who I am. I may seem like a tomboy at first because I don’t wear a lot of dresses, makeup, or skirts, but darnit, I love being cuddled!
Not to mention, I love being able to flirt with the guy and grab his attention. I do have to ask you, how did you meet your significant other and how did you draw their attention to you? Or if at all? I’m just really curious and might want to get some pointers. It’s been a while since I’ve done it and frankly, I am scared to death. Rejection hurts. So, single men, here I come!
